It can.
She believes there must be more to the accident she can’t remember that killed her friends and left her mysteriously unharmed.
There is.
She doesn’t believe that after everything she’s been through, she can fall in love.
She’s wrong.
I saw this book in the book store a year or so ago and was interested in picking it up, being with the kids and getting them their titles I have always seemed to miss my chance in picking it up. Finally I got my copies of the first and second book, not really sure what to expect but looking for something a little different to read; I put it on my Kobo and gave it a go. I am so glad I did I was pleasantly surprise at how much I loved it. I am a big fan of looking at people and the psychology behind what makes people tick so this was a great book for me. Almost from the beginning you can tell something is not right, as Mara second guess herself and her hallucinations, is she really seeing things that aren’t there. Her family is worried about her, she’s worried about herself, she misses her best friend and she just wants things to go back to normal, to be normal. Her first week of school she already has a thing with a mean girl, like she doesn’t have enough on her plate. She hates Noah, She like Noah you know right there those are the best formulas for love stories he is cocky, arrogant, good looking a bit of a rebel , has a bad reputation and a British accent. Hello almost every girls fantasy guy right there. But is he really the jerk he pretends to be. This book is filled with mysteries where there always seems to be something going on in the back ground and you are never really seeing what is in front of your face its hidden in layers, shrouded in mystery and keeps you running conspiracy theories around in your head. My kids are probably glad I finished these two books in 2 days; I was constantly shushing them and picking up my e-reader every chance I got, even if it was just a sentence here or there. This book has a little something for everyone, a little mystery, a little romance, a little paranormal it will definitely keep you turning pages.
I gave this book a 4 out of 5 star rating
Juliette is constantly afraid; she is tired of being afraid. And now that she knows that Jude didn’t die in the accident she needs to figure out how and why. Noah is the only one who believes her and is doing everything he can to help her out. He can’t be there all the time. She keeps loosing time, sleep walking, maybe she really is crazy. Jude attacks Juliette making it look like an attempted suicide and she is sent to an inpatient facility, Mara is having a hard time convincing everybody that she is okay, she is having a hard time convincing herself, something is going on Jude is getting help from someone or something but who, and what do they want with her, the more questions they ask just seem to evolve into more questions when they break into Dr Kells office and they look at their files, and hack into her computer. What the hell is really going on and what do they want with them. This was a crazy roller coaster ride I had many theories in the first book and I see that a lot of them were right I am just trying to piece them all together. The author has done a fantastic job weaving this tail together. I love the psychology behind this, the mystery, you find yourself asking questions, and turning the pages. I was really digging their love story it was sweet and tender and not at all rushed. I enjoyed myself a lot. Again this book has a little something for everyone.

November 2014 seems so far away
on the upside it gives me a good excuse to read them again right before The Retribution of Mara Dyer is released.
