Now, Ava and Blake have been thrown into their world.
The only thing the Gods respect is their Fate. Zeus is convinced that Ava is meant to be his bride and will stop at nothing to fulfill his Fate. Even if it means destroying his own son and angering half his Kingdom along the way.
Humanless was actually the first book I formally reviewed for anyone, this spring and I loved it, my only complaint being it was too short. When Teodora contacted me about reviewing Unfree I was excited and jumped at the chance. I have always loved mythology, and I really enjoyed the first book, so I was pretty excited to jump back into this world. Unfree steps in right where Humanless left off literally, although if you hadn’t read the first I don’t think it would take long to catch up with all the action, and man this has more action, backstabbing, and romance than a soap opera. I loved it. The Gods are beautiful, bored, arrogant, and restless. Ava has been whisked away from earth with Blake (Ares) by her side back to Heaven. Convinced that Ava is apart of his fate Zeus will do anything to win her over including divorce his wife, Queen of the Gods Hera, while you only get snippets of her, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned so you know that book three is going to have her come out bigger & badder than ever. ( I can’t wait ) Ava is still mourning the loss of her best friend and cousin Posey and everything in Heaven is so overwhelming, she doesn’t know what to believe or trust. I loved the addition of Eros, He is like a breath of fresh air for Ava who needs someone to lean on. The Gods/Goddess are all plotting waiting for the exact moment to make their move. Again this is a relatively short story coming in around 175 pages. I really enjoyed the story it had a great pace, I read it in an afternoon. I would definitely recommend this book. TK your killing me with the sequels, I hate waiting I am an instant gratification kind of girl, I can’t wait to read the next in the series
I gave this book a 5 out of 5 stars rating
