Verily, the story Biff has to tell is a miraculous one, filled with remarkable journeys, magic, healings, kung fu, corpse reanimations, demons, and hot babes. Even the considerable wiles and devotion of the Savior's pal may not be enough to divert Joshua from his tragic destiny. But there's no one who loves Josh more -- except maybe "Maggie," Mary of Magdala -- and Biff isn't about to let his extraordinary pal suffer and ascend without a fight.
A good friend of mine has been suggesting this book to me for over a year as a must read. So finally I decided to take her suggestion and pickup this book. The Gospel According to Biff is a laugh out loud account of Jesus' life story as told through the perspective of Jesus' best friend
Many people know the story of Jesus, but this story is the journey of the best friend and confidant to Jesus. Biff is a sarcastic, streetwise and adventurous character who often ''takes one for the team" more often than not. Biffs’ journey is not the same spiritual journey' as Jesus'. Biffs’ journey is the steadfast best friend who craves women and adventure. Jesus is the student and teacher while Biff is the ever present wise guy with just a tiny bit of knowledge that he often get's confused or just out rightly makes it up.
This story is neither preachy, nor is it a regurgitated bible story. This is a fresh and humorous perspective of the unknown best friend and very first follower, protector and confidant to Jesus.
This is a 5 star book and a highly recommended read.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
